Cabinet approves to hand over 10.09 acres of land in Nagdi to set up Amity University Campus

Ranchi: The state government has decided to hand over a total of 10.09 acres of land in Mudma under Nagdi circle area of Ranchi district at the payment of Rs 27.09 crore to Ritanand Balved Education Foundation to set up the campus of the Amity University.

A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here. In another key decision, it was decided to give away an area of 22.19 acres to Adani Power Ltd in Goddar Sadar and Poriyahaat circle areas of the Godda district to set up a railway siding project.

In an another important decision the state government has decided to make amendments in the policy under which jobs are provided on compensatory grounds to the kin of the government employee who dies in the course
of the service, further it was agreed to form the treasury for the Jharkhand Bhawan New Delhi along with constitution of gazetted and non gazetted posts for the same.

The state government has also decided to give the powers to the DC to ink the lease agreement with the families residing on the government/Khas Mahal land before January 1, 1985. A proposal to constitute 22 fast track courts for a period of one year to undertake the pending cases of rape and those related to the Pocso act was also approved by the cabinet.

The cabinet also approved a proposal to constitute 12 posts of deputy electoral officers at the district level which will be under the office of the Chief Electoral Officer while a sum of Rs 8 lakh was also approved for the renovation of the government house allocated to Lokayukta Jharkhand. Many other decisions were also given its nod by the cabinet.
