Three members of a family run over by train in Palamau

Daltonganj: Three people including a couple of women and teenage girl all of whom were members of one family were run over by the Garib Rath Express near Lalgarh Railway Station.

Police said that the deceased who hailed from one family had gone near the railway tracks to relieve themselves in the morning when they were hit by the Garib Rath Express.

The deceased have been identified as Sarita Devi (35) her daughter Richa Kumar (14) and Radha Devi (30). The trio were residents of ward number one of Lalgarh panchayat.

They had gone towards the railway tracks in the morning when suddenly the Garib Rath Express came and when the tried to get away from the tracks a good train came on the opposite track as a result of which they could not save themselves.

Later a police team which arrived on the spot sent the three bodies for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital Medninagar
