Congress and JMM left behind the NEWS IN BRIEF tribals in race for development: Das

Chaibasa, : Chief Minister Raghubar Das accused the Congress and the JMM of leaving behind the tribals in the race of development and turning the community helpless so that the simple and honest tribals can be used just for their vote bank.

Addressing a public meeting in Noamundi as part his Johar Jan Ashirwad Yatra he said that that the main motto of these parties is to fulfill their vested interest and mislead the tribals.

He said neither the Congress nor the JMM have their policies or intention clear and have nothing to do with development, they are only confined with their own development and continuing the politics of dynasty and family.

However in the last 5 years the present state government has created awareness among the tribal community Mr Das said and asked them to ask questions from the Congress and the JMM as to why people of Chaibasa were forced to drink Red Water, power is not in the villages and why women and children were forced to undergo various other problems.

Accusingly the JMM of looting the state he said that the party also played with the feelings of the people by spreading fake rumours that BJP government would be taking away the land of the poor and the tribals. He said that the JMM never talks about the development of the tribals and has not done any work in their favour.

Mr Das said that his government has not taken an inch of land forcefully but the Soren family which hails from Gola of Ramgarh district violated the provisions of the CNT SPT act and went on to own land worth crores in Deoghar,
Dumka,  Ranchi , Dhanbad , Bokaro and Pakur districts.

He asked the JMM leaders to come clean on the money spent on the purchase of these lands and asked the people to remain alert from such elements
