Hazaribagh: A youth was drowned while participating in an idol immersion under the Daru Police Station area of this district.
The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar Thakur (40). Locals said that Manoj had joined the fellow villagers during the idol immersion however he went into deeper waters and was drowned.
He was later taken out by the villagers who rushed him to Sadar Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
