Phool-Pati procession held in JAP, Maa Durga gets 40 round salute

Ranchi (By our Correspondent): As per the traditions of the past so many years to create awareness about the environment a ‘phool-pati’ procession was carried out in JAP 1 premises in which a large number of the people participated.

The Doli carrying the goddess was brought to the main temple located on the premises and rituals were performed. Later the worship of nine girls was done who symbolise the nine different forms of the deity. During the worship, a 40 gun salute was given to the deity by the jawans of JAP1.

The chief priest of the temple said that every year on the occasion of Saptami the procession is carried out to create awareness about
environment, even Goddess Durga is party of the nature therefore with full devotion nature is also worshipped.
