NDA to win 65 plus seats in Assembly Elections: Mathur

Ranchi: BJP’s National vice president and in charge for Vidhan Sabha polls in the state Om Prakash Mathur said that on the basis of the strong booth management and hard work of the workers BJP would win more than 65 plus seats in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

Addressing a Press Conference at the party office here is said that it the last 2-3 elections the party has accorded focus on the booth as even the national president advocates booth management.

Over the demise of senior party leader and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley he said that a big loss has incurred to the party and with his death, he has lost his good friend. He said that for 10 years they had worked together in Rajya Sabha and also in the party. He said that all party programmes have been cancelled due to his death.

Mr Mathur said that a favourable environment in favour of the party was prevailing in the state and in the meeting of the core committee e one could easily see the self-belief and determination among the leaders who were confident of a good show in the elections. 

He said that Jharkhand was the ninth state in which he has been given the responsibility of the party organisation and he recalled that in 2004 also he had come during the elections to the state. He said that he had held a long discussion with the chief minister and had also talks with the state level and district level leaders in which positive feedback has been received.

He said that the schemes of the central and state government are dedicated for the villages poor and the farmers and lauded the state government for realising the welfare schemes on the ground and strengthening of the basic amenities of of life including ensuring free LPG connections in 35 lakh homes under the Ujjwala Yojana.

Mr Mathur said that the party did not belong to any particular person or cast and is based on ideologies and dedication of the workers who are very excited after Article 370 has been removed.
