Nephew arrested for murdering aunt in Garhwa

Garhwa: Police has arrested a youth who was having an extramarital affair with his aunty whom he later murdered as she was pressurizing him to marry her despite having four children and the youth being married to another woman.

DSP Sandip Kumar Gupta told press here that the arrested has been identified as Saddam Ansari who was nabbed from Bazar Samiti located at Manjhiaon Road. He said that on July 5 body of a woman was recovered from the NH-75 under Meral Police Station area who was later identified as Afsari Khatoon.

He said that during the course of an investigation it emerged that the woman was having an affair with the Saddam Ansari who was also her nephew for the last five years.

After the duo were caught a year ago Afsari’s husband had divorced her, the officer said adding that despite being married Saddam continued his relationship with the woman who started asking him to marry her.

As Saddam refused to marry she filed a rape complaint against him at the police station on May 24.

Agitated over her acts the accused called her for a meeting on July 4 and after having dinner he attacked her with rod due to which she fell unconscious and later threw her on road and ran the truck over her to make the incident look like murder.
