Jamshedpur: A elephant killed a 55 year old man in Katushol village under Behragora block of the East Singhbhum district.
The deceased has been identified as Chuna Sabar. The man was collecting mushroom near his home when suddenly the elephant came out of the forest and threw him on the ground due to which he died on the spot.
Upon receiving information Behragora MLA Kunal Sadangi reached on the spot and inquired into the incident. A team of the forest department also reached the venue and gave Rs 25,000 as immediate compensation and assured to provide the remaining Rs 3.75 lakh soon.
