Government running many schemes especially for women empowerment: Guv

Jamtara: Governor Draupadi Murmu said that the state government was running many schemes to do away with socio-economic backwardness among the people and especially among the women of which they should take advantage.

As part of her Santhal Pargana division visit the Governor visited Jamtara during which she distributed deeds and assets among the beneficiaries of the government schemes at the Town Hall located at Duladih.

She said that in the agriculture sector Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana has been launched while farmers are also getting the benefits of PM Kissan Yojana.

Similarly, the government has also started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to address the health care needs of the people, she said adding that people are also getting the benefits of PMAY, Birsa Aawas Yojana and Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Aawas Yojana while toilets have been also constructed under Swach Bharat Abhiyaan.

She said that the state government has launched a special campaign to protect the under groundwater in the state under which in this district trench cum bund has been set up and also lauded the initiative of ‘bora baandh abhiyaan’. The governor said that the government has also ensured the food grains in packets is being delivered at the doors of the primitive tribes in the state.

During the function, the governor also distributed appointment letters among the teachers of the Ol Chiki language, distributed funds among Sakhi Mandals and also distributed LPG connections under the Ujjwala Yojana among the beneficiaries.

As part of her visit to the district the governor also visited the hospitals being run by the welfare department in Kunjaban, Nala and Jamtara and interacted with the patients and the doctors treating them. She also had a look at x-ray and blood testing facilities and later participated in plantation drive in the hospital premises
