Paharia killed in Pakur over suspicion of cattle theft

Pakur: A man hailing from the Paharia Primitive Tribe was murdered over suspicion of cattle theft at Gandi Pahadia Tola under Amrapada Police Station area of this district.

The deceased has been identified as Deva Pahadia (45). The accused Bamna Pahadia later surrendered before the police who was later forwarded to jail.

Police said that ox of Bamna had been stolen for which he suspected Deva of committing the theft after which in anger he attacked Deva with a sharp-edged weapon due to which he died on the spot.

A police team which later reached on the spot sent the bodies for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital. Pakur SP Rajeev Ranjan said that the matter was being probed.
