Deoghar/Dumka: Despite the month long Shravani Mela inching towards its end it has failed to dampen the spirit of the kanwariyas who continue to come in droves to offer jalabhishek at Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple located in Deoghar district and also at Basukinath Dham located in the neighbouring Dumka district of the state.
A report from Deoghar said that as soon as the doors of the temple was opened at 4.07 am the process of offering jalabhishek had commenced and in the early morning the line had reached till the B.Ed college.DC Rahul Kumar Sinha was himself monitoring the security and other arrangements for the kanwariyas during the day.
Till 7pm a total of 85328 Kanwariyas had offered their jalabhishek out of which 2493 opted for shigra darshanam. Meanwhile a report from Dumka said that on the 28th day of the Shravani Mela more than 1.30 lakh devotees had offered their jalabhishek at the temple out of which 1212 kanwariyaas opted for shigra darshanam.
