Glory of Badrinath” will be seen this time in the satellite township Durga Mahotsav

Ranchi (By our Correspondent): Durga Puja and Kali Puja Mahotsav will be organised at Satellite Township, Dhurwa located adjacent to DPS Ranchi for the 28th consecutive year.

Being a prestigious residential township of SAIL Ranchi Units, Durga Puja is celebrated with grandeur as well as traditional gaiety. This time Pooja Pandal is being recreated emulating “Badrinath Dham” with the Pandal’s height being 30 feet and width is 60 feet. Like the Badrinath Mandir, Pooja Pandal is also being decorated in traditional Garhwali form and entry to the gate on both sides of the door are hung ceilings and elephants tapestry in form of ladders depicting typical North Indian architecture. 

The idol of Durga is being created by famous sculptor Ajay Kumar Pal. During the Durga Puja Festival, various cultural programs will also be organized in the form of dance and painting of children, Rangoli and Dhunuchi dance of women, other events like Dhaki competition night Jagran etc. Overall the entire Puja arrangements will witness an expenditure to the tune of Rs 15-16 lakh. Here in Durga Puja, a special attraction is seen for eating food. There is the participation of Kaveri, Pizza-Hut, Zenista-in, Walk and other famous restaurants in the food stall. Special cleanliness by organizers is under the Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan shall be visible in for of Garbage Collecting
Brigade.
