Mother and son killed over personal enmity in Ghatshila

Jamshedpur: A mother and son were murdered as a result of a personal enmity at Chingada village under Dumria Police Station area falling under Ghatshila subdivision of the East Singhbhum district. The deceased have been identified as Kapra Tudu (42) and her son Hemo Tudu (20).

The accused Ratan Tudu who is the uncle of the boy after killing the duo reached the police station and informed about the incident. Later police took him to the incident spot from where the body of the mother and son have been recovered.

Police said that early in the morning the accused slit the throat of his sister in- law Kapra Tudu. After hearing loud noise her son Hemo rushed to the spot after which Ratan and his nephew were involved in a physical battle but the uncle attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon due to which he died on the spot. 

Police said that family was involved in a dispute related to land and property and a government job which Kapra wanted her son Hemo to get as his father Kabe Tudu who was in the police was killed in Deoghar in the year 2000.
