Assitant GM of Bokaro Steel accuses MLA of manhandling, Biranchi claims innocence

Bokaro: Assistant General Manager of the Bokaro Steel Plant has accused the local MLA Biranchi Narayan of manhandling him over a dispute which took place on the renovation of a pond in sector one, on the other hand, the MLA has denied any wrongdoing and has accused the officer of creating obstacles in government work.

Assistant General Manager Ajit Kumar said that without procuring the NOC work was being done which was objected by him after which the MLA and his workers manhandled him. People said that the assistant general manager with his security guard reached on the spot and stopped the contractor and workers from their work.

The MLA said that construction of a project of the Tourism Department was on in the area as part of which boundary wall was being constructed. He said that it is a written order from the government that for development works in area of the BCCL, CCL and BSL if NOC is not received within a month than it would be considered an approval and work can go ahead.

He said that the Assistant Manager with his security guards tried to demolish the boundary after which the scuffle broke out between the two sides and since his home was barely 100 meters away from the spot he reached at the venue and inquired into the incident and restored order.

Mr Narayan said that he did object to the acts of the official and accused him of creating obstacles in government work and said that if he had any objection than he could approach the district administration but it was not in his jurisdiction to stop the work. The MLA said that after the contractor registered an fir against the official his name was deliberate dragged in the case.
