Setback for Pradeep Yadav as HC rejects anticipatory bail plea

Ranchi: Dealing a major blow to JVM(P) MLA Pradeep Yadav the Jharkhand High Court rejected his anticipatory bail petition in a sexual harassment case.

The court of justice Anil Chowdhary rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the MLA. Post the rejection of the bail plea Mr Yadav will either have to surrender or the police can any moment arrest him.

A lower court had issued the arrest warrant against Mr Yadav against which he had applied for anticipatory bail plea in Deoghar court which was also rejected following which he had approached the high court.

A woman worker of the party who had also served as a spokesperson of JVM(P) had lodged a case related to sexual exploitation at the cyber police station of Deoghar on May 2 alleging that Mr Yadav had on April 20 tried to sexually harass her in a city hotel in Deoghar.
