ED slaps notice on residence of Enos Ekka located at airport

Ranchi - (By Correspondent): A team of the Enforcement Directorate slapped a notice on the house of former cabinet minister Enos Ekka. Earlier on September 27 also the ED had pasted the notice after sealing the house but that notice was torn off. Post this act, the ED had written a letter to DGP to ensure the security of the residential areas located in that region and also had asked to deploy an adequate number of police personnel to safeguard the property which had been sealed.

The ED had sealed all the property of the former minister on September 27 including a flat in Hariom Tower, four acres of land in Ormanjhi, flat in Shriram Garden and land in Siram toil of Ranchi. At all the places notices in the name of Enos Ekka and his wife Menan Ekka was pasted.

The ED has estimated the property of the former minister to be worth more than Rs 10 crore. Ekka has been facing trial in DA case and is also accused of financial irregularities as his stint as the cabinet minister of the state since 2011. He is currently facing life imprisonment in connection with the murder of a para teacher in Simdega and is lodged at Birsa Munda Central jail of Ranchi.
