Khunti: The district police has arrested five Maoist supporters from Omato village under Mangardaha Police Station area. Briefing the newsmen Khunti SP Alok said following a tip-off police conducted raids and arrested the ultras who were planning to execute a crime from Omato village.
From the arrested a desi katta, five cartridges, 15 mobile chargers, a bike and a poster of the CPI (Maoists) have been recovered from their possession.
The arrested have been identified as Sukhdeo Munda alias Mangra Munda, Sameer Nag alias Birsa Nag, Karam Singh Nag alias Soma Nag, Kandra Munda alias Ganja and Narde Munda alias Haka, all of them hail from separate police station areas of Khunti.
