Daltonganj: Ultras of the JJMP attacked the house of Up-Pramukh of Pehade village under Ramgarh Police Station area of the Palamu district for the want of levy and also beat up his family members.
The up-pramukh Mahaveer Prasad who owns brick kiln in the area was asked by the ultras to pay levy but as he did not heed to their demands they attacked his home and beat his wife and daughter.
Palamu SP Ajay Linda said that upon receiving information about the incident the police reached at the home of the victims and provided security to the family.
Later search operation was conducted in the area. The SP himself visited the family on Thursday and inquired into the incident.
