ONGC should cooperate in fight against malnutrition: CM

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that malnutrition was a big problem in the state and with the cooperation of all it can be removed and special attention is being accorded in aspirational districts in this regard in which ONGC should also extend its help.

In a meeting with ONGC chairman Shashi Shekhar is said that the company through its CSR activities should help in opening of anganwadis and skill centres. He said that removing malnutrition from the state was the target of his government and therefore Anganwadi centres which act as a base for children are being made strong and therefore the company should help the state government in making anganbadi Kendra.

He said that similarly, the state government was working to check the migration and as part of that interest tricks which record more migration skill development centres are being opened so that children can get skilled and be linked with jobs and they are not forced to leave the state in search of jobs.

The Chief Minister assured all possible help to the company in all its projects in the state. Chairman of the company assured the Chief Minister that ONGC will work in those sectors. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal Power Secretary Vandana Dadel and other officials were present on the occasion.
