Opposition meeting decides to give sitting seats to the respective parties

Ranchi: Post the debacle in the Lok Sabha elections the Opposition parties in the state had a meeting on Wednesday at the residence of JMM’s acting president Hemant Soren in which it was agreed that the 32 seats which are held by the respective opposition parties will be given to them in the assembly polls while the dispute over getting seats would be solved later.

Speaking after the meeting Mr Soren said that after a weekly meeting will be once again held in which it will be decided as to on which seats the respective parties will contest. Over the absent of left parties in the meeting, he said that they have their own separate meeting on July 16-17 after which they will take a call however the opposition wanted the left to also join their hands.

Congress legislature wing leader Aalamgir Aalam said that the sitting seats will go to the concerned parties and on the remaining distribution will be done. He said that the seats will be divided on the basis of an earlier fixed formula and if two parties will make their claim on the seat than after conducting a survey the seat would be awarded to the party which has more chances of winning.

State RJD president all seating seats will go to the concerned parties and said that even in Chatra the claim of RJD was strong. He said that leadership issue was already decided before the Lok Sabha polls that the assembly elections will be contested under JMM.

Over the attacks on Soren family by the Chief Minister, he said that Mr Das is not able to see anything beyond the Soren family whom he also sees in his dreams and is aware of his wrongdoings of the five years, therefore, he is scared of the family. When asked over dynasty politics he asked whether he should go to Gujarat or some other state and give power to outsiders. In the present JMM has 19 MLAs, Congress 9, JVM 2 and Left has 2 MLAs.
