Deoghar should be known as cultural tourism spot at International level: Raghubar

Deoghar: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das that all efforts should be made so that Deoghar is known as a cultural hotspot on the International tourism map.

Chairing the meeting of Baidyanath Dham Basukinath Teerth Area Development Board at the circuit house here he said the core message of Shravani Mela should be cleanliness and politeness so that when they go back they return with a happy memory.

He said that the meeting of the Shrine board should be held in every three months and said that cleanliness work should continue round the clock in the area. He said that all kanwariyas should be considered as guests by the people of Deoghar and they should work for their well being.

Mr Das said that in Deoghar and Basukinath the administration should hold regular interaction with the local people including those belonging from the other community members of the Chambers political parties and social organisations and take their suggestions. He said that along with modernity there was also the importance of ancient values and both should be maintained.

Deoghar DC Rahul Kumar Sinha said that 100 people from the civil defence will be also deployed in the Mela. The Chief Minister said whether they are policemen or Administrative officers all should be polite in their behaviour towards the kanwariyas. He said that at no cost the devotees should see the frustration and bad words coming out from their mouth.

Mr Das that fire security system should be functional in the entire mela premises and said that in case of fire the incident should be accorded priority. He said that in the entire city all the arrangements should be proper and it should be ensured that no dark place should remain in the city.

Mr Das said that doctors should remain present in hospitals and health centres and teams of NDRF and district administration should be ready to counter any situation. He also directed all the police stations and OPs to remain on alert and also make sure that there are no problems of traffic and parking and said that toll should not be collected from any vehicle in Dumka and Deoghar.

The Chief Minister said Sardar Panda should be given all necessary facilities. In the meeting proposals, related income and expenditure for the Mela was passed.

Those present in the meeting also included Tourism Minister Amar Kumar Bauri, Deoghar MLA Narayan Das, Chief Secretary DK Tiwari and others.
