Roadmap of development of Jharkhand goes through prosperity of villages: Neelkanth

Ranchi: State’s Rural Development Minister Neelkanth Singh Munda said that by the prosperity of the Villagers The Road map for the development of Jharkhand is built therefore the state government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das has accorded special focus for development of the villages and providing basic amenities to the villages.

Addressing a Press Conference at the Suchna Bhawan here he said that the state government was running many ambitious scheme to strengthen the infrastructure in the villages create jobs and increase the income of the villagers and with proper implementation of these schemes the dream of having prosper villagers and prosperous Jharkhand would be realised. Mr Munda said that under Mnrega since fiscal 2015-16 so far 10.50 lakh schemes have been completed. He said that so far under the scheme 3.15 lakh dhobas, 5.54 lakh irrigation wells, 90207 cattle sheds, 76740 toilets, 2168 Anganwadi Bhawans have been built and on 4300 acres of land Birsa Munda Horticulture Scheme had been implemented. He said that Jharkhand ranked first in area of providing wages under Mnrega on time.

The Minister said that the state government was also running programs for economic empowerment of the rural women and making them come out of poverty and under Deen Dayal antyodaya Yojana in 263 blocks of 24 districts 25.4 lakh families have been linked with Sakhi Mandals. He said that 1.05 lakh Sakhi Mandals have been provided Rs 1300 crore through bank loans and financial linkages while apart from that under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana 31,000 rural youth have been given training and under Johar Project 2350 groups have been formed with which 1 lakh families have been linked.

The rural development Minister said that all the needy who are living in the villages they are being crowded homes under Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana and so far under this scheme 5.28 lakh homes have been sanctioned out of which 4.54 lakh homes have been completed. He said that these homes are also been provided free of cost gas connection power connection and toilets.
