Barnwal addresses 14th convocation ceremony of RK Mission Vivekanand Educational and Research Institute

Ranchi: Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Sunil Kumar Baranwal, said that July 4th is the day of Mahasamadhi of Swami Vivekananda.

Addressing the 14th convocation ceremony of Ramkrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute at Belur Math he said that Swamiji had imagined the idea of a university at Belur Math, which is an Indian spiritual heritage it will be a world-class center of scientific knowledge system. He said that Swami Vivekananda’s educational vision is a precious heritage and Ramakrishna Mission is making effort to bring it to the people.
At the function, the students of the university were honored with a bachelor’s degree, postgraduate and PhD in which the students of the University of Ranchi, Jharkhand were also present.

The Principal Secretary said that Ramakrishna Mission has established this university to realize the vision of Swami Vivekananda. It is the first and only university of West Bengal, which has been established with the motto of Swamiji. He said that sponsor of the university is the society which in a short period of 10 years has made a name for itself in the educational field.

Mr Barnwal that in the Ramakrishna Mission Ranchi, with its off-campus is trying to bring the rural and backward people forward. He said that excellent work has been done in the field of agriculture, rural and tribal development. The Jharkhand government has approved an annual recurring maintenance grant of Rs 2.94 crore for the organization to work in the field of education and other sectors, he added. He said that it was extremely satisfying to see the work which is being done by the institution to realise the educational vision of Swamiji.

In the program, General Secretary of the two worldwide organizations, Swami Suviranandji, Vice Chancellor of Ramkrishna Mission Vivekananda University Swami Aatomanandji and others were present.
