Monsoon Session of Jharkhand Assembly from July 22-26

Ranchi: The monsoon session of the Jharkhand Assembly will be held from July 22-26. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here. Among the other key decision, it was also decided that walk in interview will be organized to fill the posts of professors and assistant professors in PMCH Dhanbad, MGM Jamshedpur and new medical colleges coming up in Dumka, Palamu and Hazaribagh.

In wake of the Shravani Mela from July 15th to September 15th for law and order maintenance 27 temporary police outposts and 15 temporary traffic outposts will be formed. Further, a sum of Rs 4.71 crore was also sanctioned from the contingency funds of the state for making a payment towards the paramilitary forces and SAP jawans who were posted on duty during the Lok Sabha elections in the state from retrospective effect. Another Rs 55 crore was also sanctioned from the contingency funds for payment towards deployment of various police units and sub units for conducting Lok Sabha polls in the state.

The cabinet also decided to hand over 18.55 kilometers of road in Koderma district from the rural development department to the road construction department and has given administrative approval for Rs 41.34 crore to rebuild the road. Similarly, another road project in Deoghar district measuring 10.753 kilometers will also be handed over to the road construction department from the rural development department for expansion and strengthening works for which Rs 36.63 lakh crore have been approved.

In other proposals, the cabinet also approved amendments in Jharkhand Procurement Policy 2014 and Jharkhand Water Resources Contractors Registration Rules 2018. It was also decided to give road tax rebate on vehicles which are used as hearse vehicle, 108 emergency and mobile medical units. The cabinet also decided to reconstitute the vigilance committees to ensure transparency and execution of various schemes of the National Food Security Act 2013 while the Re 1 per liter commission for PDS shop owners for distributing kerosene oil will now be directly paid by the login of district supplies officer.
