Recharge facility to be ensured in all govt and private buildings

Ranchi: In all the government and private buildings of Ranchi district recharge facility will be ensured by the district administration.

DC Rai Mahimpet Rey in a meeting with the BDOs, COs and in charge of various departments along with officials of the central government and CRPF said that as part of the Jal Shakti Abhiyaan in all the buildings water conservation has to be done. He said that a recharge facility will be built in all the hand pumps of the district so that the water does not go waste.

The DC has directed the officials to work on a war footing for water conservation in the state. Keeping in mind the acute water crisis in the city due to the summer temperatures the district administration has taken all steps to make the Jal Shakti Abhiyaan as a peoples movement in which preparations are being made in all the tolas. He said that efforts will be made so that the people not only indulge in water conservation but also encourage others.

He said that Jal Sahiyas have been asked to encourage plantation of trees in all villages and even in schools to recharge facility will be set up. In the district, a list of deep boring has been made and those nonfunctional will be repaired but such deep boring which cannot be repaired will be converted into recharge point and even illegal encroachment from such points will be removed.
