Lohardaga: Police has arrested three Maoists supporters from Serendag forest located on the bordering areas of Lohardaga and Gumla district with 118 live cartridges along with posters and banners.
Addressing a press conference here Lohardaga SP Priyadarshi Alok said that he had received a tip-off that zonal commander of the CPI (Maoists) Ravindra Ganjhu along with his squad was camping in the forest area planning to execute a big incident following which a special campaign with the Gumla police was launched in which CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar also participated.
He said that today in the morning one Ashok Bhagat was caught from Guni village with 53 cartridges and maoists posters and banners and acting on the inputs provided by him two others Pratap Bhagat and Shakeel Ansari were arrested. From the trio a total of 118 live cartridges were seized the SP said.
