Raghubar pays tributes to late Sushanto Sen in Nirsa launches water supply scheme for the area

Dhanbad: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das paid tributes to late Sushanto Sen in a function organized in Nirsa of this district and also launched a drinking water supply scheme for the area.

Addressing a function organized on the occasion Mr Das said that late Sushanto Sen always worked for the all round development of the area and struggled to ensure the basic amenities of life reach to the people of the area and had also raised the issue of drinking water among the people. On the occasion, he also asked the people to extend cooperation in development and said that development alone was the tool to remove poverty of the people therefore on his martyrdom day all should take a pledge to make Nirsa of the dreams of Sushanto Sen.

The Chief Minister said that the state government was committed to provide all the basic amenities of life to the people as part of which the entire Ramgarh district has been electrified and by November 15 another 5 districts will be declared electrified while by the end of the year in 32,000 remaining villages power would also reach. He said that construction of new grids would help to solve the power issues.  He said that in the last 67 years only 68 grids were made despite a need of 118. Mr Das said that by 2019 18 new grids would be constructed in the state. The Chief Minister said that power for him was a means of serving the people and in the last three and half years not a single allegation has been levelled on the government which was an example of working culture of the present government and pointed the example of the recent foundation laid power plant in Patratu.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has the power to illuminate the entire country and said that earlier only coal was sold to gain revenue and instead power plants if had been set than Jharkhand would have been power surplus.  He said that his government was developing infrastructure so that dependency on DVC can be reduced and said that all the plans of the state government are centered around the poor and weaker sections of society including youth and women. He said that steps are being taken to make a new Jharkhand in 2022.

Addressing the function Aparna Sen Gupta handed a memorandum over the problems of the people over which the Chief    Minister assured to solve them and asked the witnesses to appear in the court without any fear so that killers of Sushanto Sen can be punished. Those who were also present on the occasion included Tourism Minister Amar Kumar Bauri, Dhanbad    MP    PN    Singh and MLAs of Dhanbad and Sindri.
