2 dead 5 others injured as workers come in contact of high tension wire

Ranchi: Seven workers involved in electrification work got in contact with high tension wire in which two workers were killed while 5 others were injured.

Taking serious note of the incident DC Vipra Bhal has ordered a probe into the incident and has instructed the Simdega SDO to conduct a probe and submit the findings in the next 24 hours.

The incident took place in Turupdega of Jaldega Police Station when the incident took place. All the workers hailed from Patiamba Bastitola and are aged between 18 to 26 years.

The deceased have been identified as Radhe Badaik (21) and Sanjay Bage (19). All the injured have been admitted at Simdega Sadar Hospital.

Police said that electrification work was on in Turupdega village of Jaldega block by one contract company which had given the work on petty contract to MTS which had employed local youths to erect the electricity poles when they came into contact with high tension wires.
