Govt will stand with all honest working businessmen: CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state government will stand with any businessman whether small or big who are honestly doing their work but those who are misleading the people by making fake companies action will be taken against them.

Reviewing the progress of the commercial taxes, excise and transport department at the project building here he directed the officials to take strict action against illegal liquor trade and put behind bars all those people who are involved in this and said that police station officer in charge, DSP and SP will also face actions if illegal liquor manufacturing units will be found operating in their areas.

He said that due to the stable government the purchasing power of the people and their income has increased and vehicles have increased in the villages and said that the government will soon start rural bus service and accord special focus on tribal and backward areas.

Mr Das said that soon air traffic movement will commence from Dumka to Deoghar and pointed out that commercial pilot training has been set up in Dumka and soon training will commence there.

During the meeting the officials informed that in the commercial taxes department the work of registration, tax payment and return filing has been made online and in a relief to the small traders under the composition scheme the limit has been increased from 1 crore to 1.5 crore and even the annual turn over for GST registration has been increased from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 40 lakh. It was said that to provide relief to the people the government announced a reduction of Rs 2.50 in prices of petrol and diesel also.
