Bokaro: A student drowned in the Damodar river at Dhori Khas under Bermo Police Station area of this district.
The deceased has been identified as Shubham (16) who was a student of class 10th of Saraswati Sishu Mandir. Police said that the boy along with his three friends had gone to take bath in the river where he accidentally went into deeper waters and was drowned.
Later his friends raised an alarm after which locals took him out of the water after which he was rushed to the central hospital in Dhori where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
