Gumla/Jamtara: Five people lost their lives including four in Gumla and one in Jamtara in separate incidents of lightning which took place on Thursday.
In the first incident under Bhandra Police Station Jaggarnath Oraon (46) and Panchu Oraon (64) lost their lives while they were working on a house construction work when lightning fell upon them. In the same incident, one Chandradeo Oraon (45) was injured.
In another incident in Basia one Suraj Mahto (16) was killed as lightning fell while he was picking mangoes while in Jari block also one Pradeep Lakra (40) lost his life in an incident of lightning as he was standing under a tree to prevent himself from rain. Meanwhile, in Jamtara a four year old child was killed in Kurta village of Narayanpur police station area as lightning fell.
