JSPCB organises industry interaction program

Ranchi: The Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board organised an industry interaction program on Tuesday at Palash Meeting Hall near forest officer’s colony Doranda. During the p r o g r a m m e presentations were made on Bio Medical Waste Management by Kumar

Ma n i b h u s h a n , Consulting Executive JSPCB, Pratibha Priya on Hazardous Waste Management, Ashutosh on Consent management for hotels and allied industries and online continuous monitoring system.

The industry interaction program later focused on creating awareness among stakeholders specially health care facilities, CBWTF, hotels and allied Industries, grossly polluting industries regarding consent to establish and consent to operate, a u t h o r i z a t i o n under bio medical waste management rules 2016 or hazardous and other wastes Rules 2016 whichever applicable from JSPCB. To facilitate help desk was functioning throughout the program where concerned officials from the board tried to solve the problems instantly.

The programme was attended by Chairman JSPCB AK Rastogi, member Secretary Rajeev Lochan Bakshi who addressed the various queries and host of other issues which were raised during the programme was also solved by the officials.
