Jharkhand ranks first in clean and beautiful toilet competition

Ranchi: The state has added yet another feather to its cap by bagging the top spot in the competition organized for clean and beautiful toilets in the country.

Not only that among the district level competition Giridih has bagged the first prize while East Snghbhum was at the 4th position, Saraikela at 6th, Koderma 7th and Lohardaga at the 9th spot.

In a function organized in New Delhi Union Water Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat gave the award to Secretary of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Aradhana Patnaik. Chief Minister Raghubar Das has congratulated the department and said that the credit for this goes to the people of Jharkhand and Team Jharkhand.

He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister the state government was committed to make a clean nation and success further inspires the people to work better. The Union Water Ministry had organized the clean and beautiful toilet competition from January 1, to 31st in the country in which 1.34 crore people had participated.
