Chief Secretary orders to arrest those who attacked doctor

DK Tiwari has directed The Ranchi SP to arrest within 24 hours people who were responsible for attacking a doctor at Rinchi hospital post the death of a patient.

Describing the entire incident as shameful when family members of a patient who died in Rinchi hospital indulged in ransacking the hospital and beat up the doctor the chief secretary directed the SP to ensure that the culprits are arrested within 24 hours and even pointed that is in the incident negligence of the local police station is found then action should be taken against them also.

Mr Tiwari said that in case someone has a problem then they have worked under the law and no one would be allowed to take the law in their hand and against such elements, the administration would be taking strict action.

He also spoke to DGP KN Choubey and said that doctors should be provided security in the state so that they can carry on their duty with responsibility.

The chief secretary has directed all the SPs and DCs of the state to ensure that incidents like this should not happen in their district for which necessary arrangements should be made and pointed that at any cost doctors should be provided the necessary security.
