Gumla: A local court in this district awarded life imprisonment to three accused held guilty of murdering an old woman and also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on them.
The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Lolark Dubey awarded the life imprisonment to Bajnu Oraon, Rajesh Oraon and Mahesh Oraon who were convicted of murdering Bishni Devi on February 24, 2017 at Arang Lohia village. The son of the victim had filed a named FIR against the trio.
The woman had been murder by Bajnu Oraon and his two sons Rajesh and Mahesh who suspected her of practicing witchcraft.
