JD (U) to contest Assembly Elections in Jharkhand with full strength

Ranchi: Incharge for Jharkhand unit of JD(U) and minister of Bihar Arun Kumar said that his party will strongly contest the Assembly elections in Jharkhand.  

Addressing the press while kick-starting the membership drive of the party in the state he said that in the meeting of the national working committee it has been decided that with BJP the alliance is only in Bihar while in the other states the party will fight on its own strength. He said that with its membership drive the party wants to bring the people from panchayat level to the state level into the party fold.

Mr Kumar said that a target has been set to make two lakh members in Jharkhand and to ensure the success of the programme membership in charge at the district level and observers have been appointed. He said that Videsh Mahto
has been made the overall in charge for a membership drive in the state. State JD(U) president Salkhan Murmu was also present on the occasion. During the function, many people also took the membership of the party.
