Ranchi: Australian Consul General in Kolkata Andrew Ford met Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here.
During the meeting, Mr Ford said that Australia wants to further strengthen its ties with India and assured to extend help in the area of mining technology, education and water conservation. He said that Jharkhand was making rapid progress and even the people of the state were very good.
He said that like in Australia in Jharkhand also mineral wealth is available in abundance. He said that Australia was way ahead in the mining sector and if the state government will desire than his country will extend full cooperation to him and also urged the Chief Minister to visit Australia to see the mining works.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand will work together with Australia and in such sectors were there is potential to work together will be explored. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal was also present on the occasion.
