Maoism counting its last breath in the state: CM

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das chaired a high-level meeting at the project building here over the recent increase of Maoist activities in the state. Chairing the meeting he said that Jharkhand has performed exceedingly well in the last 4.5 years to curb Maoists and Maoism was counting its last breath in the state.

He said that due to the cooperation of the central government, the strong will of the state government and bravery of the police and security forces Jharkhand has been able to achieve such results. Mr Das said that now the time has come when a final assault should be done on the Maoists in the state so that they can be completely wiped out. Those present in the meeting included Chief Secretary D K Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Home Sukhdeo Singh, DGP Kamal Nayan Choubey etc.
