Chief secretary reviews preparation for international yoga day

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Secretary DK Tiwari reviewed the preparation for the International Yoga Day function to be held on June 21st in the state capital in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi would himself be participating. He instructed the officials to make preparations in such a manner so that the entire program concludes without any flaws and pointed that keeping in mind the monsoon which is expected to arrive in the state by June 20th all preparations should be made.

In the meeting, it was informed that Prime Minister Modi would be reaching Ranchi in the night of June 20th. The entire preparations right from his welcome to his stay at the Raj Bhawan and his arrival at the program smart early in the morning and his departure from the airport was discussed and as per his minute to minute program the officials were accorded responsibility.

During the meeting, discussion was also held on the barricading throughout the route security and protocol and it was directed that the sound system should be of the best quality so that people can listen to the address of the Prime Minister and follow the directions given for performing yoga. Secretary appointed that for every 6 sectors at the venue a medical hut should be set up as in each sector there would be between 400 to 800 yoga performers and as part of the Healthcare facilities in the medical hut stretchers should also be available.

Mr Tiwari said that in case rainfall takes place during the program then such should be the arrangement that discipline is maintained for which people deployed on that day should remain a lot and should also keep the yoga performers in control and suggested that in case of the rainfall at the venue adequate number of umbrellas should be kept.

He also stressed on the need to correct the street lights on the major roads of the city along with maintaining cleanliness in the area. Those who were also present on the occasion included Additional Chief Secretary Home Sukhdev Singh DGP KN Chaubey principal secretaries and secretaries of the various department along with IPRD Director director Ram Lakhan Prasad Gupta.
