Assembly elections: Congress and JMM to focus on local issues

Ranchi: after suffering a massive defeat through the hands of the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls the opposition parties in the state have commenced their work on organizational strengthening. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha which has claimed that it would be playing the role of Big Brother in the Assembly Elections has directed its workers to interact with the people at the panchayat level and has also declared to run a special program similarly the Congress party has also appointed in charge on all the 81 Vidhan Sabha seats of the state and has started working on the local issues and on the other hand RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has also directed his partymen to commence preparations for the the upcoming assembly polls in the state.

The Congress party has already announced that in the Assembly Elections it would be fielding new and clean images as party chief Ajay Kumar in Jamshedpur said that in a reversal of roles the JMM would be leading the mahagathbandhan in the Assembly Elections. JPCC media incharge Rajesh Thakur said that the party has already appointed in charge on all the 81 Assembly seats who have been asked to submit a report regarding the local issues to the central leadership and on the basis of their feedback the party would be finalizing its election strategy.

Gems acting president Hemant Soren has also expressed his desire that the left parties should also be made a part of mahagathbandhan in the state and at the end of his today a meet of the party announced that this time local issues would be raised among the people including those related to the PESA Act power water domicile policy and migration of the people in search of employment. He said that as part of the organizational strategy is party e would be conducting door to door contact program every week in all the panchayats of the state while at the district level all cells of the party are being strengthened and for their regular monitoring in charge have been appointed meanwhile all vacant post in the party would also be filled and in charge would be appointed to keep an eye on the functioning of the cells and their leaders.
