Rs 6.14 lakh recovered from donation boxes of Pahari Mandir

Ranchi: A total of Rs 6.14 lakh has been recovered from the twenty donation boxes which had been kept in the Pahari Mandir of the capital.

The counting of the money II had commenced at 7:00 a.m. during which currency note worth rupees 4.19 lakh and coins worth rupees 1.94 lakh was recovered. The counting of the money was undertaken during the presence of Judicial Magistrate Shashi Neelima Dumdum during which treasurer of the temple Abhishek Anand was also present while apart from the members of the committee the devotees also helped in counting the money.

Last year after the end of the month of Sawan the donation boxes were opened due to which the currency notes had soiled as water had got inside them, therefore, Secretary of the temple development committee and Ranchi SDO took a new decision that every month the donation boxes would be opened and the money would be counted so that the donation made by the devotees does not get soiled and after counting the money the amount would be deposited in the bank and the entire process of counting and opening the seal of the donation boxes is also videographed.

The temple committee has already commenced its preparation for the month of Shravan as part of which the iron rods kept in the premises would be auctioned and even the stairs would be improved and the trees would be cut and painting would be undertaken in the temple. It was also agreed that apart from improving the toilets 50 street lights would be erected and a store room would be constructed for keeping items behind the Mahakal Mandir and cost of different types of Puja would also be fixed. The committee has also decided that the Silver which is kept in the temple and in the locker would be melted to form a Chatri.
