Raghubar participates in Niti Aayog meeting in New Delhi

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that out of 24 districts of Jharkhand 19 have been selected as aspirational districts out of which 16 are hit by LWE. Participating in the governing council meeting of the Niti Aayog in New Delhi Mr Das said that for the aspirational districts the centre provides special incentive with which in these districts basic amenities of life including drinking water education health Road etc are provided.

He said that in the tribal-dominated districts such as Khunti, Sahibganj, Simdega, Gumla, West Singhbhum and Pakur special schemes are being run for the development as the state government it is spending Rs 150 crore in this district to bring a change in the life of the people.

The Chief Minister said that in Jharkhand on an average 1300 millimetres of rainfall take place however for the last some years many districts have to face the problem of drought and last year also less than 50% rainfall was received there for keeping in mind the problem the farmers are being encouraged by the state government to encourage cultivation of crops which require less water. He said that for water conservation in the urban areas in 2017 rainwater harvesting act has been implemented.

In the meeting of the Niti Aayog the Chief Minister appointed that 21 districts of Jharkhand with Maar west out of which 13 were affected with extreme left-wing extremism however this number has come down now as to take on this problem apart from increasing the number of police personnel the state government has also increased the number of police station. Earlier the number of police Stations was 408 which has no increase to 547 apart from that special Jaguar force has been constituted to take on the Maoist along with 40 battalions are also involved in anti naxal operations who are equipped with modern equipment and dance and in the days to come Naxalism would be wiped out from the state.
