Gumla: An engineering student was killed while two others were injured following a collision between two motorcycles which took place at Sisai Road under Gumla Police Station area of this district.
The deceased has been identified as Alok Tirkey (24) who was pursuing engineering from Delhi and had come home for summer holiday. The boy was going to pick up his father who is a branch manager of the local Bank of Baroda branch when his bike collided with another motorcycle near Ursuline Convent School.
In the accident apart from Alok, Shivshankar Pradhan and Arjun Pradhan also received injuries and were rushed to the Sadar Hospital where Alok was declared brought dead by the doctors. Later the body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
