Gumla: A BJP worker was shot dead by the ultras of proscribed CPI (Maoists) under Bishunpur Police Station area of this district accusing him of being a police informer. The deceased has been identified as Brajesh Sahu (38). The man who ran a poultry shop was forcibly taken away from his shop and was shot dead Friday night near an upgraded middle school.
Later the Maoists also threw pamphlet on the spot claiming responsibility for the incident and accusing Sahu of being a police informer. Through the pamphlets, they also warned other police informers to remain on their toes. A truck carrying tendu leaves was also set on fire by the Maoists in the area.
