Chief secretary reviews preparation for International Yoga Day

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Secretary DK Tiwari on Thursday reviewed the preparations currently on for the main function to be organised on the occasion of the international yoga day at the Prabhat Tara Grounds on June 21st. He directed officials present on the spot to ensure that people reaching to participate in the function do not face any kind of problem and special arrangements should be made for drinking water medical facilities and toilet.

Mr Tiwari also reviewed the route chart which has been finalized for the program venue and issued necessary directions to the officials and ask them to ensure that the traffic movement in the city on that day remains smooth.

In the International Yoga Day function to be held on June 21st prime Minister Narendra Modi himself would be participating in the program along with Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Minister of state for Ayush Shripad Yeso Naik along with 35000 other participants. 

The function at the venue would commence from 6.25am while the dignitaries would be performing in the Yoga from 7.00 am to 7.45 am.

Those who want to participate in the program  can do online registration on the portal idyranchi.in/yogadayindi a.nic. in.

Apart from the chief secretary those who were also present on the spot included DGP Kamal Nayan Choubey, Secretary Health department Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Director IPRD Ram Lakhan Prasad Gupta Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpet Mahimpet Rey and SSP Anish Gupta.
