Chief secretary reviews preparation for Shravani Mela in Deoghar

Ranchi: Chief Secretary DK Tiwari review the preparations for the Shravani Mela which would be held from July 17 August 15 and asked the secretaries of all the departments concerned to visit Deoghar this month itself and make assessment of preparations at the ground level.

Chairing a high-level review meeting at the project building over the preparations for the month-long event redirected the officials to ensure that whatever task is needed for the convenience of the devotees should be successfully executed at the spot. You also directed that the officials and the employees who would be deployed for different works during the Mela period should be done within an appropriate time.

He also directed to do the branding of the biggest religious festival of the state and said that symbols and official Prasad should be sent to Delhi and other offices of the state government. He also directed to take the help of people at the Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi and send that of a video clip of two or three minutes should be uploaded on YouTube for other social media platforms showcasing the various aspects of the Mela. Mr Tiwari said that such an arrangement should be made that the devotees return back with a happy feeling as they are the real brand ambassador who would be narrating back in their homes and towns about the food arrangements during the event.  

He also directed to erect selfie points during the month-long festival and said that the number of toilets should be increased and arrangements for pure drinking water should be easily available for the devotees.
