Encounter between JJMP and police in Lohardaga, 2 ultras arrested

Lohardaga: An encounter took place between the police and Ultras belonging to the Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad at Hesway Tetartoli village under Senha police station area of this district. Post the incident police also managed to arrest two of the ultras and recovered from them a looted SLR and an LMG along with Rs 80,000 in cash. Couple of cars were also recovered from the encounter spot.

Police said that in the village a road at a cost of Rs 2.35 crore was being constructed where the Ultras of the JJMP had gathered to execute arson and threaten the people involved in a road construction project to collect the levy. However, Lohardaga SP Priyadarshi Alok received a secret tip-off regarding the presence of the Ultras after which a Police team was sent to the spot to conduct raids.

However, as soon as the ultras spotted the policeman they opened fire to which the security personnel retaliated. But when the ultras saw that they had been cordoned then deflected towards the differences of the forest however two of their men were arrested by the police.
