Barnwal directs to solve all pending cases related to crop insurance scheme within a week

Ranchi: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Raghubar Das Sunil Kumar Barnwal said that the state government was serious to solve all the problems of the farmers.

Mr Barnwal said that the Chief Minister has given clear instructions that issues of the farmers should be sorted out on a priority basis. He has directed the officials of the Agriculture Department to review all the pending cases related to crop insurance scheme within a week and payment should be made to the farmers within a week. He said that those companies which would delay the payment they would be facing strict action from the state government.

Mr Barnwal said that if the insurance companies delay the payment than Fir would be registered against the officials of the company. The directions from Mr Barnwal followed during the review of the complaint registered by the farmers of Chipra village.

He said that government will be taking serious note of the complaints related to pending payment for the last top-three years and action would be taken on such officials of the Agriculture and cooperative department officials who would be giving only oral assurances.

Over a complaint from Dhanbad where it was pointed that for the last 10 months there was no TB medicine in the hospital, he directed that action should be taken on the civil surgeon.
