Minor electrocuted in Garhwa

Garhwa: A 14 year old boy lost his life as he came into a live electricity wire in Jatpura village under Nagar Untari Police Station area of this district. The deceased has been idenified as Suraj Kumar (14). Miffed over the incident the local villagers blocked traffic movement on the NH-75 demanding compensation and register of case against the culprit officials of the electricity department.

Due to the agitation a long que of the vehicle was stranded on both sides of the NH-75 due to the incident. The people called off their agitation after local BDO alongwith officials of the power department gave a written assurance to provide a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the kin of the family. Later the body was sent for post-mortem.
