Daltonganj: The Daltonganj Town Police arrested five men involved in loot and recovered Rs 2.25 lakh from them.
Addressing a press conference here Palamu SP Inderjeet Mahtha said that on the night of May 27 these men had looted a sum of Rs 3.90 lakh from a garment trader on the banks of the Koyel river. Later the victim had filed an FIR in this regard following which a police team led by DSP Bhola Singh was formed which carried the investigation and arrested the 5 men.
The mastermind of the crime was identified as one Ravi Kumar who used to work at the trader for the last six years. Police said that the arrested have been identified as Rahul Kumar, Raji Aalam, Jitesh Kumar Chandravanshi and Kujur Bhuiyaan while Manoj Kumar and Sunny Kumar are still absconding.
